For the duration of your flight, you can choose one of the 400 movies available on your personal screen, no matter whether you're in class or Havana Club Palmeras. Added to this, there are more than 4,000 hours of music and variety of all kinds that you can find. Also on this screen, you can browse the net. Laptops are allowed, Air Cuba had equipped all its aircraft of terminals "Wi-Fi". You can also follow the path of the aircraft. You will see a map showing the progress of your flight. In addition, on each flight, one capsule about 45 minutes with the destination and its aspects is presented. Most recently, Air Cuba has installed cameras on its aircraft. You can see images of the flight outside the aircraft in seven different views.

The camera number 1 is on the nose of the aircraft, with a view to the front. The camera number 2 and 5 (2 left, 5 right) also shows a forward view, but with the angle, we see a portion of the fuselage. The camera number 3 and 6 (3 left, 6 right) show a side view of the device, from the wings. We can therefore see the windows of both sides. We then find the camera number 4 is on the highest part of the plane, the vertical stabilizer. There is therefore a top view of the aircraft, forward. Behavior on board

Passengers have the right to travel safely. Under the Criminal Code of Cuba and the Aeronautics Act, it is illegal to endanger the crew and other passengers. The crew will not tolerate any misbehavior on board the aircraft. If possible, ask the police to be present at the arrival of the aircraft. Anyone who breaks the law or violates the rights of others will be apprehended by the police upon landing. This person will be arrested, charged and prosecuted. Anyone convicted of abusive or disruptive behavior on board an aircraft may be liable to a fine not exceeding $ 100 000 or imprisonment not exceeding five years, or both.

For babies

Travel with baby

A child is considered an infant until its second birthday. Previously (2 years less one day), he can travel on an adult's lap. An adult may not travel alone with two babies for security reasons, despite the number of seats purchased.

Please note that it is possible to bring her infant seat. However, it is mandatory that the car seat approved by El Oficio de Transporte de Cuba.

Note **: If your child is celebrating its second anniversary at your destination you will need before departure, having paid the cost of a seat for the return.

Newborns

A newborn aged 7 days or less do not have permission, because of its fragility, travel on our wings. Babies older than seven days are allowed on our flights provided that the parents have all legal documents required by the destination country.

Availability of a small very cosy bed for baby!

Once aboard, you can get a crib (cot) for your baby. These cribs (cradles) are positioned on the walls of the device. Your baby will be able to sleep comfortably during the flight safely. The baby's weight may not exceed 11 kg (24 lb) and its size can not exceed the size of a crib (crib) or 68x30x15 cm.

Baggage allowance - baby outfit

Kids travelling alone

Unaccompanied children, aged 5 to 11 years inclusive can benefit at no charge, our VIP service and this on all our flights. Members of the team of Air Cuba will be happy to accompany the young throughout his journey. To do this, we ask that you advise your travel agent or our Information Center and Seat Selection (1-877-AIRCUBA) at least 48 hours before scheduled departure. Take note, however, it is unfortunately not possible for Air Cuba to escort a child to a connecting flight to another airline, except Aerolíneas Catrachas, Air Mexico and Dacii România.

To ensure the comfort of the child, we offer pre-assigned seating free. Please contact our Information Centre and Seat Selection (1-877-AIRCUBA (247-2822)) at least 48 hours before the departure date.

Please also check in 3 hours before scheduled departure time to complete the required documentation and proceed to the check-in of the young traveler. When registering, you must provide details of the person who will meet the child at the destination (name, full address and phone number). Once bound a piece of photo identification will be required by the agent of Air Cuba, in order to confirm the information on the form of the child and ensure his safety. The child will not be left to a person whose name is not indicated on the form.

Special tags will be affixed to the luggage of the child to identify them more easily. Moreover, we give him a pouch that the child should remain in possession. It will allow for insertion of important travel documents (passport, airline tickets, maps and other customs).

Our "VIP" will be escorted shortly before the departure to the gate by an officer of Air Cuba. In no time, the child will be left unattended by the team of Air Cuba.

The person accompanying the child to her must remain at the airport until the aircraft.

Prioritary boarding in the aircraft

All children traveling alone get priority boarding on our aircraft.

Upon boarding, the ground staff will proceed with the presentation of the child to the flight director, in charge of cabin crew. The flight director will escort the child to their seat, will present the flight attendant who is responsible for his section and explain the various safety.

During the flight

The cabin crew will special attention to the child throughout the flight by ensuring their comfort and safety.

Once at destination

The first step on the arrival of the destination device is the presentation of children traveling alone by the cabin crew to ground staff of Air Cuba and even before the descent of the other passengers.

The ground staff of Air Cuba will proceed with the formalities of customs and immigration with the child if necessary and will eventually help to collect his baggage.

Once outside the arrival area, the ground staff of Air Cuba will proceed with the identification of the person receiving the child by checking the information on the form of our VIP and demanding a piece of photo identification. If the information does not match, Air Cuba should contact the person who originally accompanied the child (parent or guardian).

In the event that no one is present to greet the child at the destination, local authorities will be contacted and all costs incurred (meals, hotel, etc..) Will be paid by the parent or guardian.

Tips for parents

So that your child makes a most enjoyable trip, prepare by explaining the sequence of steps related to his flight. This will decrease the tension that you and your child may feel. In addition, make sure your child is well rested. We advise you not to overload his hand luggage. This should contain one or two of those favorite toys that will bring comfort, one or two snacks and maybe even his "security blanket" favorite.

Also, teach your child how to reach you by phone if necessary. Make sure the person who will meet your child at the destination is aware of all the flight details (date and time of arrival), the formalities of service for children traveling alone (with photo ID required, responsibility the child, etc..).

 

Young passengers travelling alone (12 to 17 years old)

Passengers aged 12 to 17 years may travel alone as a young passenger on Air Cuba. We can help them during their journey. Air Cuba can not however be held responsible for young passengers traveling alone but must be able to do without assistance.

 

PREGNENT PASSENGERS

It is important to ensure that the pregnant woman and her unborn child, are transported without risk and safely. For these reasons, Air Cuba is required to apply certain restrictions. Also make sure that the date of your return travel is consistent with the restrictions.

From 36 to 38 weeks You must present a medical certificate issued within 24 hours of departure.
From 39 weeks You are not allowed on flights of Air Cuba.

 

Animals

Animals are STRICTLY banned in cabin on Air Cuba. Only service animals (guide dogs for the blind, in this case) are allowed in the cabin. Other animals must be wired to a document issued by the destination country or Cuba. They will be placed in a cage, rented for $ 35. They will be in the front part of the compartment, which is heated to room temperature (the same temperature as the cabin). Small animals (mice, rats, reptiles ... are NOT ALLOW to edge).

 

Meal service

On all flights of Air Cuba, a snack or meal will be served. Here is a list explaining the type of meal you receive.
